The story line was somewhat lame, but the movie itself was pretty good. It is something to think about for those that don't belive that there may be other civilization out there in the universe. Stranger thing could happen and the way we human are destroying the planet what make you think that we may live much longer in this earth... just my opinion.. rate the movie 4/5. thank to all that posted decent copy of the movie.. this is a great movie about two rival apprentice. the story is very moving if you are a food lover. would love it more if the audio was in inglish. asian movies are getting better by the time and if you could put up with su-title then you could enjoy this one. worth a watch

Having seen the reality of middle school. This movie doesn't really send the right message and it wasn't even funny. Today middle school student are categorize by social status and is something that a lot of them have to deal with through out the school years. So while the movie try to paint a picture of two friends going through a rough time in middle school. In real life thing are much harder for middle school kids. This movie is a classic.The movie has more than one part. It was not the best but for the time period you have to give the director some credit. He had a story and ran with it, in order to make a pretty interesting movie. The puppets is what made the movie worth a watch. If you have a imagination and like to compare movies look at the puppet with the hook, and you could see that ideas get pass on from movie to movies. I agree that Johnny Depp did a great job with this movie but the simple fact is that movies today have been remake so many times that people start to lose interest. If a film get's remake I would like for the original story line to stay the same but bring in the new technology for creating the movie into play.
