This one is exciting, suspenseful, intriguing, and Guy Pearce is very effective as the bad guy. The sequence where he is "guides" with a cell phone by his "victim" - Cage - as Pearce did himself to Cage in the first part of the film, is delightful. I like the Hunted Hunter scheme, where the victim tortures his hangman.

It's very unfortunate that a movie with such a star studded cast should be made with such a low budget. The sets are weak! The lack of people on the sets is deplorable. The "Kingdom" seems more like a village with some excuse of an army. The use of CGi is very evident in many scenes and makes the whole set look very cheap and tacky.

It is one of those movies that tries to give you an insight in the Japanese code of honor. What struck me in this movie is the excellent use of the Japanese scenery i.c. Tokyo, the bullit-trains, the temples, the ninja way of life.. A great action packed movie with a lot of tension in a very beautiful package.
